We have an exciting opportunity for a permanent CSW Senior Social Worker. With honed skills in assessment, report writing, and managing a complex caseload, you will be dedicated to a noble cause-improving the lives of children and families. Your work will be significant and impactful.
Responsibilities
MASH is the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub. You will be in the office working alongside colleagues from Health, Education and Police. You will be part of a team that screens all referrals and recommends proceeding within tight timescales. You will need the skills to communicate with service users, colleagues and agencies.
Qualification – Essential
- GCSE Grade (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics.
- DipSW, CQSW, CSS or equivalent
- Social Work England registration
- Advanced –Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Social Media.
Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience Requirements - Criteria-to be Tested at Shortlisting.
- With a minimum of 2 years experience in a statutory social care role.
- Able to screen police notifications of domestic abuse incidents.
- Experience working with partner agencies, including health, police, education, early help, and Women's Aid.
- Evidence of good quality practice consistent with the notions of authoritative practice.
- Skills in assessment, report writing, and managing a complex caseload.
- Dedicated to improving the lives of children and families.
- Knowledge of all relevant legislations, especially the 1989 and 2004 Children's Acts.
- A proven track record of thinking and researching policies.
- Ability to influence and coach others.
- Good understanding of risk management and development process.
- Knowledge of the assessment framework within the context of high-quality social work practice.
- Ability to manage time and workload, balance competing demands, and meet objectives and deadlines.
- Confident and clear verbal and written communication skills.
