We have an exciting opportunity for a Housing Solutions Officer. This role is crucial to our team, and we are looking for ambitious, proactive individuals who can find creative and innovative solutions to local problems and are passionate about customer service. As a Housing Solutions Officer, you will be accountable for all tenancy and property management, including repairs, investigating complaints, and dealing with tenancy-related issues.
Responsibilities
To support households in temporary accommodation, dealing with various issues, from queries, complaints, housing advice, disrepair, and ASB. To proactively help residents find housing solutions and move from temporary accommodation into privately rented housing, ensure the temporary accommodation is maintained to the required standards.
Qualification – Essential
- GCSE Grade (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics.
- Relevant professional level qualification.
- Advanced – Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, social media, and CRM.
Qualifications, Knowledge, & Experience Requirements—Criteria to be Tested at Shortlisting.
- Ability to effectively manage a technical caseload within target deadlines.
- Experience writing and preparing specifications for repairs, maintenance work, significant repairs, and planned maintenance contracts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong IT skills, and the ability to work autonomously and inclusively in a team are also essential.
- Experience working in Homelessness or housing Management or have a working knowledge of housing law and legislation.
- Knowledge of Legal legislation in Housing disrepair and ability to interpret legislation.
- Experience in the building industry codes of practice, measured terms and building contract forms.
- Ability to communicate effectively by telephone, in writing and face-to-face in small and large meetings.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to administer contracts and supervise work in progress.
