Description

Our local government clients in Kent are seeking a Compliance Manager. Provide specialist expert compliance advice to the authority, departments, and satellite sites, and deliver management reports as required.

Responsibility

Responsible for setting, monitoring, and reporting the facility's compliance performance for statutory requirements, including leased buildings where applicable, and ensuring and maintaining a comprehensive facilities information system to demonstrate compliance, utilising the CAFM and another system.

Essential Qualifications

  • GCSE Grade (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics.
  • Appropriate building services or engineering qualification or equivalent proven work experience.
  • Acquired or studying for a Formal Health and Safety qualification. IOSH or NEBOSH: Ongoing CPD compliance, health, and safety training.
  • Advanced – Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, social media, and CRM.

Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience Requirements - Criteria-to be Tested at Shortlisting.

  • An in-depth understanding of building management and related statutory legislation.
  • Knowledge of contract procedures.
  • An understanding of mechanical and electrical services.
  • A sound knowledge of IT and its application in the office.
  • Appropriate experience, expertise and sound knowledge in compliance management.
  • Pro-active, self-starter with outstanding organisational skills and the ability to operate effectively under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to interpret legislative requirements and implement changes where required.
  • Proven commitment to equal opportunities
  • Proven experience in managing contractual relationships relating to building services compliance.
  • Proven experience managing staff in compliance.
  • Proven experience managing compliance across large corporate multi-tenanted buildings and satellite sites.
  • Be on call to respond to site emergencies, available to work outside regular hours at short notice, and flexible to meet the service's needs.
  • Commitment to continuous personal development.

Essential Compliance Requirements

  • Five Years of References.
  • The role requires an Enhanced DBS.
  • A pre-engagement screening is mandatory for this role. Please be prepared for this additional step in the application process.
