- Description
We are recruiting a Senior Social Worker (SSW) with 2 years' Experience To manage an allocated caseload. This includes managing and making decisions on cases, some of which are high-complexity and/or high-risk.
Responsibility
These may be related to Child protection/ Care & Support/ Deprivation of liberty /cases subject to Court action/ school attendance, providing social worker support to at-risk children/children and their families and carers.
Qualification – Essential
- GCSE Grade (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics.
- Approved social work qualification
- Registration with Social Work England (SWE)
- Advanced – Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, social media, and CRM.
Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience Requirements - Criteria-to be Tested at Shortlisting.
- Experience of working with vulnerable children and their families.
- Experience of working closely with statutory and voluntary agencies
- Demonstrates current knowledge of professional social work practices
- Ability to demonstrate an understanding of the social work task
- Demonstrates experience and understanding of key legislation
- Evidence of supporting students and/or colleagues
- An ability to intervene effectively within situations of increasing complexity and challenge
- Ability to communicate effectively to various audiences through written, verbal and other means of communication.
- An ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence using the English Language as required by Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016
- Logically interprets and draws meaning from information, leading to a precise analysis of required intervention.
- Anticipates and reviews situations in depth to identify critical issues and act upon them
- Demonstrates resilience to challenge in a complex, highly pressurised environment. This individual’s skills will have been tested and an ability to maintain composure under pressure should be demonstrated.
- An ability to accurately record information in different formats.
- Shows respect for diversity and values individual differences,
- Treats all people fairly and appropriately regardless of race, religion, belief, gender, age, disability, sexual orientation, appearance or position.
- Demonstrates an understanding of disadvantages and social deprivation.
