- Description
We are recruiting a Business Support Officer for a local government client in East London. To provide comprehensive and professional administrative support within Children and Families, ensuring that systems meet procedural requirements and that all work undertaken is produced to a consistently high standard.
Responsibility
Responsible for developing, maintaining, and regularly updating manual and IT systems and supporting and enhancing the division's work. Arrange, coordinate, and conduct minute meetings as requested by managers, distributing the resulting papers to all relevant parties.
Qualification – Essential
- GCSE Grade (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics.
- Appropriate Secretarial Qualifications and/or NVQ level 3 in Admin
- European Computer Driving Licence or
- Advanced – Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, social media, and CRM.

- Able to synthesise and accurately record high quality systemic discussions concerning children and families promptly.
- Able to present complex information promptly and in a variety of formats.
- Able to use Google Docs effectively to administer, prepare reports, write letters and present information, and be a superuser for the team.
- Able to communicate confidently, effectively and assertively with people at all levels, verbally and in writing.
- Able to manage various demanding tasks simultaneously to achieve deadlines and targets.
- A proven track record of successful delivery of various administrative services, including the organisation of office systems.
